AMERICANS FOR SAFE FOOD
About the Maryland Rainmaker's Project
The Maryland Rainmaker's was conceived as a community effort against the drought plaguing our area. Comprised of farmers, business people, and homeowners, the Rainmaker's' primary goal is to motivate the community to contribute to the drought problem-solving process, coming together outside of government initiatives to identify potential solutions to the disaster and act on those solutions to prevent further damage.

One option with a proven track record is Environmental Drought Abatement- cloudbusting. Very different from cloud seeding - a chemical process- cloudbusting uses the atmosphere's own energy to reduce lower level pollution and increase cloud accumulation, resulting, a majority of the time, in substantial precipitation within 36 hours. Because the State has overlooked this proven method as a potential solution to the drought, the Maryland Rainmaker's Project is working to raise funds as a community to bring cloudbusting to Maryland.

What is Cloudbusting?

Discovered and first researched by Dr. Wilhelm Reich in the 1920's, the science of Orgonomy refers to the use of the principles of orgone energy in medical, psychological, and biospheric/meteorological applications.

Atmospherically speaking, orgone energy is the substratum through which light moves and through which gravitational and electromagnetic fields exert force.

Under the right circumstances, orgone energy may be observed. The next time you are at the beach, try looking out over the water with a telescope. Many report good observation of orgone energy from 1 to 8 inches directly above the wave path, but below any wind activity. Orgone energy can be used to trigger atmospheric movement that results in weather changes, usually in the form of precipitation - this is cloudbusting.

Dr. James DeMeo

In 1979, James DeMeo completed the first systematic evaluation of the Reich cloudbuster (at the University of Kansas). Since then, he has been requested on numerous occasions to apply this valuable new technology to regions suffering from chronic drought and stagnant air pollution. Drought-Abatement experiments have been conducted in the USA and overseas (Greece and Cyprus), often under severe drought circumstances, restoring natural rains to parched and devastated regions. Desert-Greening experiments have been undertaken in Arizona (five expeditions in 1989), in Israel (1991-92), and Namibia, Africa (1992-93). Since1994, four separate desert-greening field expeditions have been undertaken into the arid Horn of Africa, in one of the most ambitious projects to date, making the first careful steps towards halting desert-spreading, and greening the famine-plagued Sahel region.

In 1978, Dr. DeMeo founded the Orgone Biophysical Research Lab, and has since served as its Director of Research. A non-profit organization, the OBRL has conducted workshops and lectures internationally on the work of Wilhelm Reich, as well as numerous experiments and extensive field research and applications of the Reich cloudbuster in both desert and drought conditions.

How to Donate

The Maryland Rainmaker's are asking communities affected by the drought(and isn't that everybody?) to think about what we can do as a self-led group to help our atmosphere and ease the drought hardship. Though water restrictions have become necessary in some capacity, they are reactive solutions to a problem we can deal with proactively through weather modification and drought abatement measures - cloudbusting.

With pooled resources, the community can meet the cost of between fifty and seventy five thousand dollars to perform an adequate drought abatement exercise in Maryland. Funds left over after the operation will go to the next state in need, and so on. Checks may be made out to AUM, Inc., and mailed to the address below. If you would like to trade help our ideas, please call, fax, or email us.

Even without monetary support, we still need your enthusiasm and ideas for community response to the next crisis - or even simply to address the issues affecting our homes and businesses. With one network throughout the state, we can pass ideas, support, and concerns through our communities- and by doing so, can take control of our livelihoods and our futures.
