100% profits from all sales of these Negro Leagues items will go to benefit Geraldine Day, widow of Negro League star pitcher and Hall of Famer Leon Day, who passed away only six days after his election to the Hall of Fame in 1995. The items in this price list come from the collection of Dr. Bob Hieronimus who is a friend of the Leon Day family and was instrumental in getting Leon Day elected to the Hall of Fame. Dr. Hieronimus1s efforts to see that Negro League players get the recognition they deserve has been covered in USA Today, Baseball America, Beckett Baseball Monthly, Sports Collectors Digest, Baltimore Sun, San Francisco Examiner, and others. This collection is one of the few places where certified authentic Leon Day autographed items can be found.

WHITE HOUSE COMMEMORATIVE ITEMS
On Feb. 8, 1994 Vice President Al Gore welcomed a representative team of nine Negro League Baseball veterans to a Black History Month White House Ceremony. To commemorate the meeting these nine players signed 13 bats and 13 balls: Russell Awkard, Gene Benson, Bill "Ready" Cash, Jim "Fireball" Cohen, Leon Day, Mahlon Duckett, Wilmer Fields, Stanley Glenn and Max Manning.

LITTLE LEAGUE NEGRO LEAGUES ITEMS
1993 Baltimore Little League Project. The Baltimore Black Sox and Baltimore Elite Giants played in the Baltimore City Little League in the1993 season thanks to funding raised by Hieronimus & Co., Inc. At the startof the season twelve Negro League veterans autographed Little League bats,balls, and tickets to help raise funds to pay for the project. Players included Leon Day, Gene Benson, Bill Cash, Jim Cohen, Mahlon Duckett, Wilmer Fields, Stanley Glenn, Wilmer Harris, Larry Kimbrough, Max Manning, Bert Simmons, Al Wilmore and Monte Irvin.

2. Little League Bats (wooden), engraved "Baltimore Elite Giants 1993" autographed by the above 13 Negro League Players. $200
