Picture of UFO1) REFLECTIONS ON THE RENDLESHAM FOREST UFO INCIDENT

The UK's Rendlesham Forest (aka the Bentwaters-Woodbridge) UFO Incident is one of international ufology's seminal events, and thanks to the SciFi Channel's recent (December 2003) documentary on the subject, is finally receiving some belated recognition from researchers and students of the subject in this country. The events which comprise this 1980 incident embody almost every area of modern UFO studies, including abduction, physical traces, civilian and military eyewitnesses and documentation, military and intelligence cover-up and intervention, and film and photos (unfortunately still classified). IF board member Peter Robbins spent ten years investigating the case, and along with military eyewitness and whistleblower Larry Warren, wrote the book on it, 'Left at East Gate,' which remains America's only published account of this extraordinary story.

This multimedia presentation will summarize and review key points of the incident, and Robins' focus will be personal and off the record. It will include a number of observations, anecdotes and stories accumulated in the course of his dozen research trips to England. A question and answer session will follow and copies of 'Left at East Gate' (the book or CD-ROM) will be available to those interested.

2) THE ARTHUR KILL SIGHTINGS

At around midnight on July 14-15, 2001, a strange formation of lights appeared over the New York / New Jersey border. The sightings took place less than twenty miles from Manhattan in highly sensitive airspace. Many people witnessed the phenomenon from both states. Although comparable to the Phoenix Lights case of 1997, which received
nationwide publicity, The Arthur Kill Lights were given a limited amount of media attention. Dennis Anderson, Director of the Wagner College Planetarium and Advisory Committee member of the Intruders Foundation, will discuss his investigation of his unusual and in some ways disturbing urban sighting. His account of the events, "The Arthur Kill Sightings - July 14-15, 2001" is the cover article of the latest issue of the International UFO Reporter, the quarterly publication of the Center For UFO Studies.
