Backstage With The Beatles
First is Andy Babiuk, who has written an
exhaustive and gorgeous book about every single instrument ever used by any
Beatle from the beginning of their career as a group through their solo
careers. Ringo's characteristic Ludwig drum set, to Paul's famous Hoffner
bass, they're all here, with more info than any musical completist could
hope for.
Then we'll meet Alistair Taylor, who was first assistant to Beatles
manager,
Brian Epstein. Alistair remembers the heady days from early success in the
60s to the complicated days of Apple in busy meetings that were so fast
they
seemed like "Hello, Goodbye" the title of a book about Alistair's career
written by George Gunby.
