of centerpiece from the 8 foot x 100 foot mural, E Pluribus Unum,
located in Baltimores legendary Lexington Market. Artist Bob Hieronimus,
1986. Eye
in the Triangle: The eye in the triangle has been used by many secret
societies and esoteric groups to symbolize the All-Seeing Eye of God.
It is the Eye of Providence, or Spiritual Vision, and may also refer
to humanitys 6th sense, clairvoyance (meaning clear-seeing). Washingtons
Watermark: between the eye in the triangle and the top of the Great
Pyramid is a watermark designed by General George Washington for his
stationery. It shows a woman standing by a plow and holding a pole bearing
a liberty cap in her right hand and an olive branch in her left hand.
The bird atop the seal is the raven found on Washingtons family
coat of arms. It serves as Washingtons approval of the philosophy
depicted on the reverse of Americas Great Seal.
